Q. How can I display the average of my replicate samples in the graph view?

A. To display replicate samples as one average group under the Graph view, enter a single parameter value for all similar samples in the Experiment Parameter window, as shown below:



In this example, there are 5 lung tumor and 7 normal tissue samples.

Secondly, setup the Experiment Interpretation as follows:

  1. Open the Experiment Interpretation window from the Experiments menu.
  2. Select "File Name" or any parameter that do not have a common parameter value as "Do Not Display".
  3. Set "Tissue" as "Continuous" or equivalent. Click "Save" to save and close the Change Interpretation window.



After saving those settings, GeneSpring will group all the lung cancer tissue samples and the normal tissue samples together, displaying only two groups in the Graph View.
