Q. How do I import data from the same sample but stored in separate files as from HG-U133 A and B?
A. To load experimental data stored in separate files, such as results from different subchips, do the following:
- Select "Import Data" from the File menu.
- Browse to select one of the data files to be imported. Select the file format of this file.
- Select the corresponding genome for the file in the list of genomes provided, or create a new genome if one does not already exist.
- If necessary, define the columns of your data file in the Column Editor.
- Select all the other files you would like to import, including those that are from a different subchip as the first one.
- Check the box "Samples have multiple files" in the "Import Data: Selected Files" window, as in the example below:

- The next window allows you to merge the subchip files that belong to one sample. Control-click to select all the files for one sample and select "Merge Selected Rows":

GeneSpring will merge the selected files and display them on one row. Repeat this step for other samples.
- Click "Next" to continue loading your data as usual.
